    News Invisible Airbus

I would like it too. But then again, I'm an arial photographer and get paid to lean out the window of a plane to take pictures

    SSU Documentation

Which would enable one to install a tunnel section in between the A/L and the bulkhead like during Shuttle-Mir flights and STS-88, Correct. And thanks for the answer Donamy on the WingPainting entry. EDIT: About ODSZPos; not to nitpick but wouldn't ExtALZPos be more acurrate since the ODS...

    SSU Documentation

Should 'EnableWingPainting' be found in the Mission file or the scenario (which is next for me to start looking though)? EDIT: Also what about the 'PayloadZPos1' entry. Does this effect the attachment point or is this something for the payload latches?

Ok, makes sense. Any comments on any of the other entries?

    SSU Documentation

Mission Files Alright, I've been gathering my notes and going through some of the other SSU threads (mainly the v1.25 bug thread). First I want to hammer down the Mission File entries. Here is a list of entries that I have found so far and what, if anything, I can discribe about them: NAME...

    Search Detailed Earth clouds

The clouds used in the screen shot are from an addon call Local Clouds by BrianJ. It was once found at www.avsim.com and I'm not sure if it still is there or if it would work in 2010p1. If you find it, it problebly should. The clouds are a flat mesh that are added to KSC by creating another...

That will be up to you and the others to define those guidlines. Just so you know.

    SSU Documentation

That's what I was hoping to do. Give a general blurb about a subsystem like what it is, what it does, and how it impacts typical mission procedures. Then add a reference to the SCOM section for further, and fuller, reading and understanding. EDIT: And I forgot about the workbooks. I only have...

    SSU Documentation

So how about this set up. Base SSU Docs SSU Manual (includes Mutiplayer ops, Scenario and mission file stuff) Ground Ops Manual (maybe seprate) SSU Payloads Manual Individual Mission Packs w/ seprate Manuals/FDFs Developer and Tools Manuals This way we create three main groups that are at...

    SSU Documentation

Methodology Well, great then. The next task then would be for Urwumpe to tell me the basics of using the SVN. I've read how one can reference several separate .tex files then have them combined into one PDF when it is created, which is I think what Urwumpe was talking about. Long term, I...

    SSU Documentation

I was in communications with Urwumpe about a month ago about helping with creating the documentation for SSU.I am still interested. He pointed me to the idea of using laTex to create the actual files, so I did some research and created a test doc. I recreated the SSU v1.25 manual in laTex (those...

    Project G42-200 StarLiner

You might have already fixed this by addressing this^ but on takeoff the '42 doesn't require any back pressure on the stick to lift off the runway. It just takes off on its own. Just something I noticed.

    Project G42-200 StarLiner

The models change position when you do. So the full model is always in the other seat.

    Question Shuttle to the Moon

Once you get to orbit, save and exit the scenario then load the saved file with unlimited fuel selected.

What is the slowest paced sci-fi movie ever??

Space travel in general is twenty minuets of excitment spread around 5 days of boardom. So "real" space movies should be a little slow at some points. Thats why I like 2001, it takes forever to do anything.

    Project G42-200 StarLiner

I think you're taking the cupholder thing a litte too seriously. The "joke" about including cupholders goes back to the development of the XR-2, along with "fuzzy dice".

    Search Buran Spacecraft?

If only Buran flew more than just once. On paper, it's much better that STS. I would have liked to see how the Russians would have handled the extended operations that are involved with space planes.

    News SPACEX Falcon Heavy Teaser

Price is also not ever going to be the same as air travel. If you are going to wait for space travel to cost say 200 USD a seat, you'll be waiting a long time. For me, I'm saving up my money and instead of going to Disney World for two weeks, I'll take my family on an orbital vacation. Sure...
