FRENCH GUIANA SURFACE TILES v.2

For Orbiter 2024 and 2016

New Surface Tile pack for French Guiana.

DESCRIPTION :
Here is extensive coverage of the French Guiana, home to the famous European Guiana Space Center in Kourou.

This add-on includes several detailed areas :

• The cities of Cayenne and Kourou
• The Cayenne International Airport Félix Éboué (named before Rochambeau)
• The Guiana Space Center (CSG) of Kourou
• Fifteen picturesque villages and sites
• The ELA-4 area, where Ariane 6 rockets launch
• The ELA-3 area (for the futur Ariane 5 rockets add-on - coming soon for Orbiter 2024 - please still wait...)

This add-on, composed only with Surface Tiles, will allow you to fly over the French Guiana.

Only one scenario (with the default DG) is provided, allowing you to fly all over the country without any additional add-ons : French Guiana overview.



INSTALLATION :

Just unzip this "zip" file into your OpenOrbiter 2024's root folder (or Orbiter 2016).
If you've already installed one of my previous add-ons (like Kourou-CSG), some old files will be overwritten : this is normal.

NOTE 1 (for Orbiter 2016) :
If you have not already installed Rochambeau and Kourou-CSG add-ons, this Surface Tile add-on must be installed AFTER installing these 2 add-ons.
If you have already these add-ons installed (like Rochambeau - Kourou-CSG v 5.1 - Cessna & French Guiana Airport )
you just have to reinstall these Surface Tile add-on ( French Guiana Tiles v2 ) for new tiles to replace old ones.

NOTE 2 (for Orbiter 2024) :
I advise against installing my older add-ons in OpenOrbiter 2024.
Keep your trusty old Orbiter 2016 for them, and wait for a future update.
If you still want to install them ( CSG - Rochambeau - Cessna ), avoid installing the Surface Tiles provided with these add-ons.


SETTINGS AFTER INSTALLATION :
Check (or otherwise set) these four important settings in OpenOrbiter Server Launchpad:

• Select and enable : Linear interpolation (in the Options tab - Visual settings - Planetary effects area)
• Enable : Local light sources (in the Options tab - Visual settings - General effects area)
• Select : Cache & Archive (in the Video tab - Advanced button - Surface texture load options area)
• Enable : Enable terrain flattening (in the Video tab - Advanced button)
