For Orbiter 2024 install Ariane 6 for Orbiter 2024

This is the English version (a French version is available on the Papy's Hangar).



This add-on is designed to be installed in addition to the KOUROU CSG Centre Spatial add-on v 5.1
(see explanations below)


DESCRIPTION:
Here is the new European Ariane 6 rocket in its 6.2 version (with 2 boosters) as it was for the inaugural flight (v 262) on July 9, 2024.



The payloads carried by this rocket are provided :

• 9 small satellites (cube sat)
• 4 experiments (fixed on the platform)
• 2 reentry test capsules

You can do the first mission of this rocket either in automatic mode (you just have to watch) or in manual mode.


INSTALLATION:

1) Just extract the "zip" file into the main root folder of your Orbiter.
(If some files need to be overwritten, give permission.)

2) Installing the KOUROU CSG Centre Spatial v 5.1 add-on is recommended, but not mandatory


RECOMMENDED ADD-ONS:

OrbiterSound version 5 for Orbiter 2016 (essential)

Jarmonik's D3D9 Graphics Client (highly recommended)

KOUROU CSG v 5.1 to have all the buildings and launch zones of the Kourou Space Center.

FRENCH GUIANA SURFACE TILES
(To update some Kourou tiles and add Cayenne-Rochambeau tiles as well as many areas of French Guiana)

Note:
This add-on is designed to work even if the KOUROU CSG Space Center add-on is not installed.
If you install my "Ariane 6" add-on over my "Kourou-CSG" add-on, some files will be overwritten.
Don't worry, files are the same (assembly tower, mast, assembly building, etc.)
These last elements are not updated, same for the ground texture. Their appearance is very different from what they are (in reality) today.
I have planned, in a second step, to make an update for the ELA4 site because I made it a long time ago, when this site was only at the project stage.
So be indulgent about the realism of this area.

FUTURE UPDATES:

• Improved surface tiles for the ELA4 area - grass - but also tar - have been growing since a long time)
• The launch mast (the one provided is not conform to reality)
• The Assembly building (same)
• The launch platform, lightning pylons, flues, etc...
