I need help with Shuttle 08 please

I am able to change the direction of the winds and even the rain during landing at KSC, but the manual says I can do it during Liftoff... I con't fiure out how?? I want to take off in 50 mph winds as it says in the manual, but I can only change that and the direction during landing!

Landing while it rains is very difficult too! The runway was too slippery and thw rain on the windshield in VC mode had poor Visibilty. I do love launching in cold weather and seeing the ice and foam fall of the shuttle, just like AMSO! :speakcool:

Also, I read that you can install different payloads in the VAB, and I was able to put the pulsar and comet into the payload bay while in the VAB, but not columbus.

Bill W. made a great addon for Orbiter, I spent hours last night reconfiguring the new shuttle.. Thanks for the link and I hope you make more updates to this addon real soon.:beach:

I think he is just badly advertising something not related to orbiter.

Also, taking off in 50 mph winds is something, even the Russians wouldn't do to their astronauts.

I posted a thread last night and now it is gone...why?

As I said before, I am having some problems with the new shuttle addon made by Bill W. shuttle08v1.06.exe ... it works great but I am having a problems with the weather mfd part of this addon. I can use it to enhance the wind direction and speed during landing and even use the rain mode during landing, but not during takeoff? Landing into the wind and with a cross wind in not so easy and I want to launch with a big wind linke in the movie "Marooned" but i can figure out how to do that yet?

I can launch in cold weather and I think the ice and foam falling off the shuttle like AMSO is awesome

I am also having problems in the VAB when I put together the payload into the shuttle before rollout

I think this orbiter addon is too complex for me but the graphics are incredible and I want to thank Bill for it:speakcool:

It was moved because you haven't provided postive evidence that this add-on really exists. One way to do that, is to provide full download link so we can check it out for ourselves.

In science this process is called "peer-review". And no credible scientific claim is ever published without having gone through peer-review first.

When replying, click on the paperclip icon and then Browse button. Then browse to the files you wish to upload and click OK.

Then click the Upload button. How about trying to upload it to a free file hosting service such as RapidShare(http://rapidshare.com/)?

I must admit it sounds highly unlikely that it does - it sounds far too complicated for orbiter.

If it does exist, then somebody put the link here, or else you are obviously lying.

It sounds pretty like a hoax. Google does not provide anything unknown to the community (SSM2007, SSU, SSD, Shuttle Fleet). Also 1.06 is the last released version of Space Shuttle Ultra.

But it's interesting what he is talking about since it can't be SSM2007 or the CS Shuttle for FSX. And i wonder which manual could guess to take off with 50mph winds :blink:

Winds and rain doesn't exist in Orbiter. It also doesn't exist in SSM2007. Winds and rain exist in Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane but there is no Shuttle addon simulating foam and ice loss (not even the launch is implemented for FSX). I think he is talking about something which does not exist.

The Captain Sim Shuttle can't be launched. There isn't any foam and ice loss animations "like AMSO".
