First stage Landing

Three tries, keep landing just short of the barge on autopilot....

Hmm. Still works ok for me. Can you post your orbiter.log file? Also, if you save the scenario after stage separation, that might be useful to see.

...four tries, every time a perfect day :thumbup:

All attempted orbits reached....ah and as a side note for all those people that think like reaching LEO isn't "that cool": 1st stage landed right on the X each time

BrinaJ, fantastic work!
:cheers:

@Voyager_VI :
Did you edit your Earth.cfg ?

Code:
BEGIN_SURFBASE
DIR Earth\BaseSpaceX CONTEXT SpaceX
DIR Earth\Base
END_SURFBASE

Ok I have the same issue with landing. I need a little more guidance where to add/ change this conf file

@barrygolden: It's all in the Documentation ;)

In this case from the required LC39A addon.

I quote here:

INSTALLATION
1.Extract all files to the root of your Orbiter program directory, preserving the directory structure. This should not overwrite any default Orbiter files.

2.Navigate to your Orbiter/Config/Earth.cfg file and open it using your text editor of choice (e.g. Notepad).

3.Find the surface base list entries(between BEGIN_SURFBASE and END_SURFBASE lines).

4.Add the following line to the top of the surface base list (after BEGIN_SURFBASE line):
DIR Earth\BaseSpaceX CONTEXT SpaceX

Finished.

So, your Earth.cfg surface base list should look something like this:
BEGIN_SURFBASE
DIR Earth\BaseSpaceX CONTEXT SpaceX
DIR Earth\Base
END_SURFBASE

I don't see anything that says SURFACBASE
Did you open the correct file? That is Earth.cfg in the Config subfolder. The section in question should be near the middle.

Don't see any thing that says tools
Are you following the 2000/XP/Server 2003 steps? Are you using Windows 7? Then you should follow those steps, not the ones intended for an earlier OS version.

Hey Dave thanks but I give up. not worth the fight. I do not see anything called view or file extension checkbox

thanks again but I never have seen any thing like that
How does it look then? What you see there is the standard layout of Windows Explorer in Windows 10.
