I love Star Trek but somehow I think I prefer flying her in Star Trek Bridge Commander.

I don't think they've changed the sounds to sound more appropriate did they? :shrug:I mean not using the default rocket sounds.

But now for a couple of mine from today's flights.

This is the Ranger 7 just after launch on the way to the Moon.

How about driving one of the slowest vehicles on Earth traveling at a meager 1 mile per hour speed. Obviously it's not this rocket I'm talking about but the Crawler under her.

The shots I didn't take with the Skylab launch. So here it is now.

Here's a what if scenario with Velcro Saturn rockets. What a huge magnificent sight it is with that much rocket to possibly send the huge Skylab all the way to the moon!

I just love those huge Saturn V rockets. Imagine if it were really like the way the Velcro rockets have it?

And the smaller XR-2

Is it just me or did the guy that thought up of the shape of the XR2 get some of the shape from the SR-71? Just that it's a rocket/scramjet plane and not a fully air breathing only plane.

Anyone ever notice how the Enterprise is made up from popular real-life science items of the era? The late Roddenberry said it should consist of Rocketships, Radar dishes, and Flying saucers. Cool eh?

Well, yes, the SR-71 has influenced the xr-2 design. Whether by choice or inadvertently.. It did..!

While this photo is most certainly not awe-inspiring by any stretch of the imagination.. What this XR2 came out to investigate is.

About Roddenberry: where did you get that info from?

From a speech at a private meeting, many years ago. Spoken by Roddenberry himself. Straight from the horse's mouth.

It's the one stand-out thing that stuck with me.

The TARDIS as she is seen more than several millions of meters away.

The beauty about being in the TARDIS is she's a powered by a black hole.:woohoo:
Not in the sim of course, but we can always dream. :tiphat:

Enterprise project underwent a bit of a refit, if you know what I mean.

I did try that old one you sent out. But have to test her out on the field of the Solar System. Haven't gone out of orbit of the planet.

Did you also include the new sounds to that one? Cool if you did. I might just add that to my hangar.
