I'm sufficiently proud enough of this video to have the audacity to make a thread for it. Every year since 2008-2009, I've created a video for New Years, so I consider this a tradition now, a New Years "present". It may be late here, but it was uploaded on December 31/January 1. Sensible constructive criticism is appreciated, it helps me improve.
Long story short, I got this idea nearly two years ago while filming for another video (Air Turbulence). I just downloaded the excellent model of the Sabre at that time, and I had to make something for it. The idea developed over the months, and in the summer I finally wrote a screenplay and got someone, who I'm very thankful of, to voice the video. Most of the footage came together this December.
I've used some significant visual/audio meanings in the video that I'll disclose, here are some:
The time when the 747 takes off is 5:53 AM, 1953 being when the Korean War "ended" and returning to Korea after the war. The time when it stops is 11:11 AM, suggesting armistice, specifically in Korea.
The intro song shows that the Sabres, veteran and commander, and 747 are both facing the west; the 747 going to Korea. The veteran has "a feeling I get when I look to the west; and my spirit is crying for leaving".
Watch in HD, sounds and looks better. Made in FS9.
