Oh, I loved SimCity. Played the original, 2000, 3000, 4. Skipped that last one, Societies, after my brother told me it was horrifying.

EA sticking their nose in Simcity 5 does not bode well for the series...

well, EA owns Maxis. Has for sometime, so there is no Sim City 5 without them. It is re-assuring that it is a re-launch, a get back to the roots sort of effort. Well at least that is where they want to take it for the moment. I remember all the loafty promises about a civil service, not being just a mayor, but you could go and take over things like the Police, for 3000, and that never happened.

And Origin is stupidly annoying. I hate it. The only experience I have had with it thus far is Mass Effect 3, so I double hate it.
