Err that is what ERA (Explosive reactive armour) is..
True it is more complex and considerably less energetic, but neutronium might be good for Hyper velocity projectiles.
Aviation Safety Network - Uncontained engine failure list
Since 2000, engine manufacturers listed are below.
16 listed incidents
4 - Rolls Royce (4 different models )

Yes and no, its a polite way of saying what part of the engine failed/blew up.
Unfortunately GE have a history of unconditioned engine failures.
Friday 2 June 2006 a AA Boeing 767-223ER had one, 8 December 2002, 22 September 2000 and 7 June 2000 are some examples.
From the media reports that have seen, the pilot was pulled from the wreck on the ground. The aircraft involved is fitted with Ejector seats but they are not Zero-Zero seats.

Once I find where I read...

If you used solar and wind turbines you'll maybe get a max speed of 8kns (more likely less), Big ships require lots of power and wind turbines are not that efficient.
It could be more vulnerable to capsizing, but simply because it will have to be designed to have better righting moment, may...
RisingFury you are not alone in that, One of my favourite mods for Fallout 3 and New Vegas was one that added and changed the foliage to look more alive.
My view on the nukes is that in the fallout universe they where less nukes and more dirty bombs.
