This is like a computer-age version of the older copyright and patent laws. If someone builds a widget, writes a book, song or other product, someone else was permitted to build another widget with the same function, but not to duplicate it exactly, the same with books, songs, movies, and other...

It appears to be CO2, which is a rechargeable cylinder, at least here in the U.S. It appears he accidentally dropped it and damaged the valve. CO2 is a liquid under pressure, lotsa mass inside.

Had my first Smallpox vaccine the early 1950s, then again twice in the U.S. Navy, boot camp, then a couple years later. Also, found out I was allergic to vaccines for typhus and yellow fever. I do wonder about the wisdom of stopping this vaccine even though they think smallpox no longer exists...
