    Orbiter 2024 Launch readiness

Do the math in radians, calculate degrees for display purposes. Likewise, for those who use SAE units ( like we Americans) do the math in metric, convert to SAE for display. Don’t be the Mars Polar Lander.

So many addons that do not work

It’s the fact that many add-ons were written for the past versions of the day, but many were not updated for newer versions, many because the developer is no longer here. But, there are enough that either still work, or work close enough, or have been updated by developers still here, that it...

I live about a half hour from Dorne, have ridden a couple of those. Here’s an idea. Can we fix Orbiter’s trams and rebuild them like this?

    Tell us about yourself!

I was just refused download for this add-on. But, I successfully downloaded this one as a test. Seems the first one has an error on the download button. Not a big deal, just wanted to read the docs, etc. EDIT:It also refuses permission to download Dwarf Eris V.1.2

    Object textures making

Agree, window arches and accompanying brickwork is usually on top. oh, unless you’re in southern latitudes.:)

    Object textures making

I am by no means a coder or mesh builder, but, since there are two files for a structure that have day and night views, I assumed that one would build the day and night meshes, give them the appropriate files names, then tell Orbiter when to switch them out.

Misc IMFD 5.7 with the Arrow Freighter - A "How To"

@Eccentric: in the wiki, there is a page of checklists for the various programs in IMFD here. For the Orbit Insert program, it is suggested to use IMFD 4.2 as the one in 5.7 doesn’t work well. So, for orbit insert, do you use 5.7 or 4.2? Thanks.

    Project The Janus Expedition

Janus does not come with any version of Orbiter from O2001 through O2016, but it is available as an add-on body in 'Saturn Moons' add-on in 2014. It has cfg, msh, and dds files, but not dll. Hope that helps.

Maybe the color is what they could buy cheap this week. Probably intended to be painted in the end product.

IMFD IMFD MFD - ISS to Mars?...

When you do plane alignment, just remember to align by zeroing the EIn in orbit eject rather than RIn in AlignMFD. Two different things.

This would be the ultimate Orbiter multiplayer setup. I like the MAP MFD center wall. For me I want the work station near left with 7 monitors and 3 keyboards & mice for Orbiter.

IMFD IMFD MFD - ISS to Mars?...

I usually depart from Mir to other bodies as its alignment is close, from ISS requires a very large plane change alignment. Plan your trip in target intercept on one MFD, then in the other MFD, use orbit eject connected to the course program. In orbit eject, plane change to zero your indicated...

    Updates Voyager mission news

It’s weird to think that the spacecraft is older than some of those who are working on this project. Younger ones may have had learn code no longer taught.

As you said, the vagus nerve is like a bundle of wires, much like a data cable or a phone cable. It’s not too hard to imagine ’cross-talk’ between fibers. Anyway, it’s probably not a bad thing to get nauseous and puke when dizzy. It be like the brain is saying ‘Hey, I’m getting f****d up up...

Was someone looking for "Go Play In Space"?

Xyon gave them the link to the copy posted in the wiki. The original question here https://www.orbiter-forum.com/threads/gpis-link-broken.41666/

Question Anybody know which base this is?

I have landed manually many times, really not that hard once you get the hang of it, but With HoverMFD, I find that as I approach in the last few km, slowly drop the brake rate percentage, maybe 10 % every couple or so km. That forces the horizontal velocity down as you approach, ending up...
