    Question Reference frame.

Cool Idea! One issue would be that Orbiter uses Newtonian mechanics and it would need to simulate relativistic effects to enable one to get across the galaxy in a realistic manner.

    ITEM 27 trouble

Ok I punched in OPS 105, for the OMS-2 display, but ITEM 27 still does not orient my shuttle, It says TTG, but evn if, lets say, I put in Vx +200 (prograde), then when I reach my Tig the shuttle is not in a prograde orientation at all. Does my scenario work on your side? The OMS ignites, but I...

    ITEM 27 trouble

Hello, Id first like to say im impressed by the level of progress since the last time I downloaded SSU. I do have a few issues here that are kind of annoying. I cannot get ITEM 27 to orient the shuttle for OMS-1. I load ITEM 10 for the TIG and ITEM 19, 160 FPS VX. I Then push ITEM 22, ITEM 23...

Problem Lunar Transfer MFD with AMSO

One of the cool things about LTMFD is that you can set a TOA (time of alignment) during TLI and MCCs, so you just input the time of the actual landing and everything is taken care of. No need for a base alignment burn after LOI.

Problem Lunar Transfer MFD with AMSO

LOL through experience, I can confirm that the CSM has not enough fuel for TLI alone.

Problem Lunar Transfer MFD with AMSO

If you follow the historical trajectory by inputing the right information in LTMFD such as PeT (time of arrival at the moon) and PeA (altitude of closest approach) and TOA (time of alignment with the landing site). you should be left with plenty of fuel for TEI. Last time I tried I had around...

    Realtime Apollo Mission

While doing a real-time apollo mission without any breaks is an interesting idea, we must also be aware of the dangers of siting in front of a computer for extended periods of time without moving and stretching our bodies. Prolonged immobility can cause deep vein thrombosis...

Guess this guy never played orbiter

If he was actually bothered to research the possibility that he is wong, he would find things like this: http://www.jaxa.jp/press/2008/05/20080520_kaguya_e.html http://www.universetoday.com/2008/07/16/japanese-selene-kaguya-lunar-mission-spots-apollo-15-landing-site-images/

Guess this guy never played orbiter

From an Apollo moon landing hoax believer: ``NASA also claim the Apollo missions traveled to Moon by 'trans lunar orbit'. This is complete and utter nonsense, as it defies all laws of physics in relation to the way objects move in space. The only way to travel in space is by orbiting the planet...
