Get CPU-Z. It will tell you everything about your CPU.

Given the bad ventilation and bluescreens, lets not forget that it isn't necessarily the CPU or GPU that overheats and crashes the system. Could be RAM, Cards or any number of generally passively cooled components on the board. I'd stress test the rig with the case open on preferably a big fan...

2D Panels and 3D cockpits have to be coded within the addon DLL. So unless the author of an addon adds it herself or releases the source code, it is nearly impossible for any third party to add one. These kind of wishes have to be wished pretty hard.

Chances are they are encoded in some obscure codec proprietary to that game. Reinstalling it might fix any issues that cropped up and enable you to watch them again. If that doesn't help get gspot and analyze the avi files (one should suffice). It will tell you which codecs are needed to play...

It certainly is not a standard but is being employed by forums for many years for many reasons. This measure has effectively stopped 100% of spam from reaching the actual forum. Happy Orbiting
