So Artlav had tacked this idea! Awesome. From what I've read it's very powerful, but he stopped developing it because of lack of interest or something... I say we should show support for this project, maybe he'll revive it!
I've been thinkng on what will be my next addon after I finish OSRM. I want to do something that will give some end for which to fly in Orbiter, maybe like a single player game storyline. I've been brainstorming some ideas, and this is the latest one. I just want to see how much support there...
We're looking for a spanish or french speaking Orbinaut that uses Windows Vista or Windows Seven, to volunteer to test OSRM.
I'm releasing beta version 2, maybe the final one before release, this weekend!
I just tested it yesterday, and it gave me some errors, although it somewhat worked... I didn't have much time to test it thoroughly, I'll let you know when I can. Or if a beta tester volunteers to test that..
Couple of questions:
Scripting is working in Orbiter 2009 only right? OSRM was made for 2006 and isn't working perfectly for 09.
I believe there is a Script MFD, couldn't you activate a script through the MFD?
Hmm.. I think competitive game = rules = you cannot do whatever you feel like
I hadn't considered that. Thanks.
I guess you could always change the name of a module to trick the system, but as long as its not too easy to cheat its ok.
I was considering how possible would it be for me to create some sort of addon that would create single player missions, and the stats would be uploaded and compared to those of other players. But the big problem is that it would be just too easy to cheat: Scenario Editor, Editing the scenario...
I wouldn't want to create a scripting system myself, but I'll check if I can activate LUA scripts with voice commands.
I had some time to work on it today, and made two improvements, based on comments made:
1) Now you can open MFD's without having to be in the MFD select screen. Also, now...
Awesome. My first language is spanish, but I use XP and it only works for english, so I can help with the cfgs but not test them. The french could be really popular as you say. It would be awesome if you could do three sets of cfgs, and the user just changes to another set if he is using...
Thanks Computerex. Ohh, so it's Vista/Seven, cool... at least one reason to change from XP hehe
How did that module work? Did it have an autopilot? Did you release it?
Cool. I'll be fixing that bug, adding some new capability and releasing a new beta soon.
That's a really good...
Thanks for making that video unknown_orbiter. Now I understand the confusion with the "spell the words" thing:
Apparently that feature is a feature included in the code of the specific engine you downloaded. The OSRM code itself does not have that feature. Since I'm not using that engine...
Spelling words is not currently an OSRM feature, so it won't work.
Are you saying "pro" or the letters "p r o"? You're supposed to say the word "pro".
To see the commands and their phrases see the Config\OSRM folder.
Can you give me more information on the last bug, to see if I can reproduce...
