    Problem Kicked Out

Just happened to me while navigating between forum threads. Microsoft Edge for Business Version 135.0.3179.98 (Official build) (64-bit) Windows 11 Enterprise version 24H2 Build 26100.3775

Resolved Why is the banner so small?

It looks funny to me. The forum banner graphic is so small you can't even read the text. Microsoft Edge Version 132.0.2957.127 (Official build) (64-bit) Also occurs in Google Chrome Version 123.0.6312.106 (Official Build) (64-bit) I am on my work laptop, so I can't confirm it does the same...

Problem UNABLE to get off the pad using Orbiter 2024 - ???

Did you enable the DirectX Wrapper? First line in D3D9Client.cfg (Orbiter root directory). Set it to 1. EnableDX12Wrapper = 1. This allows the D3D9 Client to run "on top of" Direct X 12, without requiring DX9 to be installed.

    Orbiter 2024 Release

    Orbiter 2024 Release

That was the issue. I had added orbiter_ng but not the orbiter.exe in modules/server. All good now. Getting the message during load about the symlinks, which I can sort easily. Am I imagining things, or wasn't there an option at one time for the launcher to try and create those? Neither...

    Orbiter 2024 Release

Thanks to both of you. I knew Orbiter_NG was the way to go, but my mind was stuck in older releases apparently, looking for the module to enable. After enabling the wrapper in D3D9.cfg I am up and running. No joy yet after adding it manually in nVidia Control Panel. I'll keep fiddling...

    Orbiter 2024 Release

Confused...is the base client using D3D7 still, or D3D9? I didn't see an option in the modules tab to enable D3D9 client out of the box, and the default installation is CTD when the 3D window tries to render, with zero errors in Orbiter.log. Also, I have an ASUS ROG M16 (2023) with both...

    Orbiter 2024 Release

Well, this was a pleasant surprise when I opened the "See what you've been missing" email this morning! Kudos to the devs that have contributed to this and thanks for your hard work! I haven't had much time for Orbiter these days but I do still have 2016 installed. Heading over now to...

Project Agamemnon Omega-Class Destroyer (Babylon 5)

There may be hope for implementing Starfury storage and launchers in the Agamemnon some time in the future: https://www.facebook.com/B5Scrolls/posts/pfbid0rGpe73QZcZGZbqvvcTkh4R23qgqNUFvCSaDuZPuxtdR19mcojr1sunqASJSv77VXl...

Question What games are you playing?

The Cortez was mostly developed on my work laptop, back when I was a desktop technician. Ironic. I had more time to code personal things when I was a hardware tech. Now that I'm a developer, I have no time to code personal things. Heck, for that matter I can't remember the last time I wrote...

Question What games are you playing?

Have been playing the latest Gran Turismo on PS5 since it came out. Also occasionally play theHunter: Call of the Wild and Warzone 2 with a couple friends (only because it's free; I'll never pay for another CoD game). Picked up an XBox One for a steal 4 years ago, I take that with me to my...

Project Agamemnon Omega-Class Destroyer (Babylon 5)

Honestly I'd love to bring all of my visions for the B5 vessels to life in Orbiter, but time, life etc. At the very least I'd like to bring the Agamemnon and Cortez into 2016 compatibility, and finish the Maintenance Fury. On the wish list after that: I'd like to figure out how to implement...
