    Question The XR2 normal/anti-normal autopilot

Actually I've now noticed the dg4 orbit-normal autopilot also can't hold it steady during a full burn, but only drifts very slightly and doesn't hurt the ApA/PeA that much. The dg4 seems to drift pitch upward (from a orbit-normal autopilot perspective) while the XR seemed to go to the side...

    Question The XR2 normal/anti-normal autopilot

Thanks for replies and dbeachy it is a fantastic craft and given me many hours of enjoyment (and enjoyable stress). I'll just have to learn to fly it better!

    Question The XR2 normal/anti-normal autopilot

Thanks for the quick reply. I forgot to say I noticed this problem does not occur on the DG4, does the DG4 have a more precise autopilot that avoids you messing up you apa and pea on a burn?

    Question The XR2 normal/anti-normal autopilot

Just wondering if others experience this problem and what's the best solution. In the XR2 I noticed when I turn on anti-normal or normal autopilot and use a full main engine burn the autopilot is unable to hold the craft steady and drifts to the side. This ruins my Apoapsis and Periapsis...

    Project D3D11Client Development

Hi there, I seem to be experiencing strange cloud lighting around Earth. Its like the day/night shading of the clouds are at a different angle to the day/night shading of the planet. Its a shame because the dx11client looks great but it really puts me off seeing black clouds over daylight and...

Request Scenario with realistic inclinations and positions of LEO objects

Quick_Nick: Disabing non-spherical gravity solved everything. It's now loading everything on the correct inclinations and positions. I had non-spherical gravity sources enabled because I was hoping to learn things on the most realistic settings I could, but it seemed to have an adverse effect...

Request Scenario with realistic inclinations and positions of LEO objects

Thanks for replies. I'm still unsure whats going wrong with the inclinations but I'm thinking it has something to do with my timezone settings. I'm currently at GMT+8 but when I change my timezone it changes the inclinations very slightly. It's not the ecliptic/equatoral plane thing as that was...

Measuring position, velocity, mass and gravity

If we were in a spaceship and somehow appeared in an unknown galaxy and solar system, what real-life instruments and techniques could be used to orient ourselves? How quickly would it be possible to measure our position relative to the other bodies and trajectories and velocities? Would this...

Request Scenario with realistic inclinations and positions of LEO objects

Thanks for reply. I actually tried that ScnEditorTLE addon but due to lack of documentation or something I'm doing wrong, I've noticed it puts the ISS on a different inclination than what I was expecting. The TLE text file I loaded was like this: ISS 1 25544U 98067A 12223.60725887 .00016717...

Request Scenario with realistic inclinations and positions of LEO objects

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but when I go to scenario editor and add in the ISS for example, it places it in a seemingly random place in orbit then any other object I add such as the Hubble space telescope, I find it places it in the exact same location and inclination as the first thing...
