What would you name a space shuttle?

I'd vote for "Alexander von Humboldt" - or short "Humboldt"... taking the name of the ship of his most famous voyage would have been a bit tainted...it was "Pizarro".

(why his name? "Columbus gave Europe a New World; Humboldt made it known in its physical, material, intellectual, and moral aspects." - José Cipriano de la Luz y Caballero)

I just thought that it would be a good one. I don't have a legitimate reason for it , but it sounds good.

Serenity? C'mon, the trekkies got to name one!:P

Resolution would be fitting, being another one of Cook's ships, like Endeavour and Discovery; Adventure would work too. Constitution would be good if you wanted a more "patriotic" name. Constellation would be an interesting combination of a famous U.S. ship and an obvious space reference (already taken though).

Resolution was one of the finalist names for OV-105 which later got the name Endeavour.

Here's how to make that dream come true:
[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2761"]Shuttle Deluxe 070218[/ame]

In the scenario files, open them with Notepad, and in the description for the shuttle, type in WING_NAME ********* and that name will appear on the sides of the cockpit and on the wing. You could name a shuttle a;dsfhg;akldhf;ghzd;lg!:rofl:

Macbeth.

Naw, it would probably blow up or something.

I'm pretty sure the answer was 42...

My shuttle name suggestion is "Bob P. O'Faror".

Quite simply it means: beware of big peices of foam and rubber O-rings...

I've changed my mind... I think we should use something completely original. Something that hasn't been thought of before...

How about The Millenium Falcon?
