Anyone here that's Japanese? I have a question about a launch clip and saw something on the scene in while JAXA was performing their launch of the GCOM-W1

If you watch the video clip below:

JAXA GCOM-W1 launch

And go to the time slot of ~11:00.
Look down at the area of the bottom left of the camera view. Then you will see something that looks like a huge square bonfire that's surrounded by a fence and some lights shining toward it.

Now my question is, what is that for? The huge bonfire.

Definitelly excess LH burning facility - you can see pipes going from tanks to pad:

As far as I remember, I never saw a Japanese flag under a member avatar. That still puzzles me. :idk:

I have never been able to figure that out. When I was a mod, the other mods didn't know why either. We need an Orbiter Japan outreach program.

You're right. At this point it's not liquid anymore :P

OK  I wasn't sure we were talking about the same kind of facility.

Wasn't there some japanese guy on the M6 forum? Worked on Apollo panels or was it AGC?

Oh yes, you're right, the NASSP panels were done by Japanese people. But I never saw them on OF.
